Formerly the Sun ‘N Sand Motel, we’re thrilled to welcome guests with a fresh new look and upgraded amenities, The Sun & Sand Resort combines modern comfort with nostalgic charm.

Perfect for your next visit to Michigan’s Thumb, this roadside retreat features 16 guest rooms, a two-bedroom apartment, and a three-bedroom house, offering a variety of accommodations for families, couples, and groups. Inspired by 1950s Palm Springs, our roadside motel with resort style amenities captures a mid-century vibe with contemporary style and comfort.

Relax and unwind with our heated in-ground pool (open seasonally), outdoor games and activities, grills, and fire pit plus enjoy beach access right across the road for the perfect summer getaway.

Our calendars are now open for booking. Payment is required in full at the time of reservation, and a confirmation email will be sent once your booking is complete. Additional details and updates will be provided as your stay approaches.

The owners made it known when booking to reach out if we had any issues or complaints. You can tell that they wanted to make sure that our stay was nothing but perfect. It was very clean, the property owners were quick to respond regarding our reservation, and check in/checkout procedures were a breeze. "Amazing & well appointed retro decorated resort. My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary celebrating at Sun and Sand Resort. Extremely clean, we loved having the amenities that most big hotel chains do not offer in their rooms! No problem checking in remotely. Close to all the Beautiful scenery you want see and close to Port Austin and Caseville. Beautiful beach! Highly recommended!"

"We needed accommodations kind of last minute to attend a funeral in Caseville. In my search I came across Sun and Sand and thought I’d give it a shot. The price was right and there were two rooms available. Pictures looked nice but we all know they can be deceiving. We were blown away when we walked in! Newly renovated with a retro vibe. They thought of everything. Hair care, body wash, lotion, loads of towels. Kitchenette had table ware, silverware, cookware, Keurig, fully stocked coffee drawer, retro (but new) microwave and fridge. Iron and ironing board. So much more! The locks are digital so you check yourself in, no worrying about getting there before they close. We recommended it to everyone that would listen! Can’t wait to go back next summer when it’s warmer!"
